Player Summary:

6th year SR aligning at QB1 for ILUN as starter for 3rd season. Possesses quality height and weight with erect and upright posture, balanced body makeup and rare sized hands. Has sufficient athletic ability with average COD, agility, balance, and footwork. Displays marginal speed and acceleration, but once moving in the open field can get to a solid top speed. Primarily used under center as a play-action pocket passer. Plays are called in the huddle although occasionally audibles at the LOS. Has a good drop-back movement, maintaining his eyes on defensive coverages and reading the field long to short. Stays upright and in a ready motion in the pocket and has solid ability to feel pressure. Makes good reads when in the pocket and can keep his eyes downfield to steer safeties away from his eventual targets. Whether in the pocket or on the move, will take the time to go through his progressions properly. Exhibits good arm strength to push the ball downfield on longer throws, having proper lower and core body mechanics which seem to work in tempo. Throwing power is solid on intermediate and shorter routes, showing ability to hit timed back-shoulder and sideline routes with average velocity. When throwing on the run his power is sufficient. Displays good accuracy on intermediate and deep routes with average accuracy on shorter/quick timing routes sometimes being behind the target causing routes to slow-down or incompletions and unnecessary hits. Has very good and believable play action movement with deliberate head and body fakes followed by accurate touch passes to first-read targets both in the pocket and on the run. Sufficient when running with the football, lacking acceleration and burst, but can get chunk yardage in the open field. Does not slide when running in traffic and takes unnecessary hits.

Scheme Fit:
Under center play-action passer in a run-heavy offense

Power Statement:
Quality sized QB with good instincts and solid arm strength who excels in play action. Ineffective as a runner.
