Washington Commanders football standout Deshazor Everett is being charged with involuntary manslaughter in connection to a crash have left his girlfriend Olivia Peters dead.

Everett’s attorney released this statement to ESPN on the charge,

“Our team continues to investigate this matter as we intend on vigorously defending Mr. Everett against these allegations. We continue to ask that judgment be reserved until all facts are fully investigated and litigated in the proper form,” Everett’s attorney, Kaveh Noorishad, said in a statement to ESPN.

The crash took place back on December 23, in Las Vegas when Everett was traveling twice the speed limit prior to the crash. Peters was taken to the hospital where she would later die from her injuries. Everett turned himself into the Detention Center and was released on 10,000 dollars bond.
