Dak Prescott fined 25k dollars for praising fans for throwing trash at the referees

Dak Prescott’s comments cost him 25k dollars after the Cowboys loss.
After a controversial end to the Cowboys/49ers game, fans began throwing trash at the referees and a bottle actually hit Cowboys player Demarcus Lawrence.
Dak actually commended the acts of the fans throwing the bottles and trash. He said “Shit, Credit to them, then”, when asked about the fans throwing debris at the refs.
Dak had to issue an apology because the media ran with it and painted the narrative that he was ok with hitting the refs. Dak did apologize but today he was crushed by the league for 25k dollars for his comments as well.
Here was Dak’s apology.
“I deeply regret the comments I made regarding the officials after the game on Sunday,” the 28-year-old said. “I was caught up in the emotion of a disappointing loss and my words were uncalled for and unfair.”
“The safety of everyone who attends a game or participates on the field of a sporting event is a very serious matter.”
“That was a mistake on my behalf, and I am sorry.”
The game’s ending was rough, and the refs have been horrible all year, but I can see why you would have frustration.
