Hello Justin Berendzen (@jrberendzen on Twitter) with my matchup preview of the Bahamas and Cure Bowl games which happen on Friday December 17th.

Bahamas Bowl-Middle Tennessee State University vs University of Toledo

Both of these teams are going to be having some fun in the Bahamas. Toledo’s offense has junior running back Bryant Koback who has 1,274 rushing yards and 15 touchdowns. Defensively for MTSU they have senior defensive back Reed Blankenship who has 106 tackles, 10 TFLs and 9 PBUs they also possess junior defensive back Gregory Grate who holds 84 tackles, 4 PBUs and 3 forced fumbles and senior linebacker DQ Thomas who has 80 tackles, 14.5 TFLs and 5 sacks. The Blue Raiders offense includes senior wide receiver Jimmy Marshall who has 510 receiving yards and 6 touchdowns. For the Rockets defense they have senior linebacker Jonathan Jones who has 91 tackles, 9 TFLs, 4 sacks and 3 PBUs and freshman defensive back Maxen Hook who holds 88 tackles, and 3 PBUs and junior linebacker Jamal Hines who possesses 82 tackles, 14.5 TFLs, 10 sacks and 8 PBUs.

Cure Bowl-Northern Illinois University vs Coastal Carolina University

I think that this could be a very intriguing game between the Chanticleers and the Huskies in Orlando. Coastal Carolina’s offense includes senior wide receiver Jaivon Heiligh who has 1,034 receiving yards and 7 touchdowns plus senior tight end Isaiah Likely who holds 816 receiving yards and 10 touchdowns and they have a pretty good senior running back named Shermari Jones who has 988 rushing yards and 13 touchdowns. The Chants will need a big game from Grayson McCall! For the Huskies defense they have sophomore defensive back Jordan Gandy who possesses 48 tackles and 10 PBUs. Offensively for Northern Illinois they have freshman running back Jay Ducker who has 1,038 rushing yards and 3 touchdowns and freshman wide receiver Trayvon Rudolph who has 877 receiving yards and 7 touchdowns and redshirt senior running back Clint Ratkovich who has 448 rushing yards and 12 touchdowns. Defensively for the Chanticleers they have super senior linebacker Silas Kelly who has 96 tackles and 8 TFLs.
