What made you decide you wanted to be a football player?
One day I was watching NFL football and I knew I wanted to play football and at 9 years old I started playing football.
What sets you apart from other defensive lineman?
I’m a run stopping nose guard and I always run after the ball and show effort.
What do you think are the keys to success on the football field?
Knowing your alignment, assignment and know who you are going against and I take pride in film study so I always know my point of attack.
What are your favorite moments from your football life?
This past season against Emporia State I got a scoop and score which is a defensive lineman’s dream and that was the first time my parents came to Missouri to see me play and when I make a tackle my teammates yell “Chim” which is always nice.
How do you handle challenges both in life and on the football field?
I’m a true believer in christ, I always believe in God and another thing is I just move on and try to learn from mistakes. If I mess up on a play I just move to the next one and try to dominate it.
What type of energy do you bring onto the football field?
When I play football I try to play like a dominant force, physical and let everyone know I’m there.
What should we know about Chima Dunga the person?
A genuine person, I treat others the way they want to be treated and I’m a gentle giant.
What do you love about the game of football?
It brings people together, this game of football is a great game, you can dominate the man in front of you without getting in trouble and when you beat the man in front of you and you gain respect from them.
If you could hang out with any football player past or present for a day who and why?
Aaron Donald, Aaron Donald has been my favorite player since high school and he has been dominant at 6 foot 285 pounds.
What would a team get in a player like you?
One thing about me is I put 100 percent effort in everything I do, I’m a hardworker and I’m coachable and know how to take criticism.
How are you planning to prepare for the draft?
Right now I’m in the process of getting an agent, I’m playing in the FCS bowl this weekend, I’m working on defensive lineman specific drills trying to be getting back into game shape because there’s going to be alot of competition at the FCS bowl.
What are you looking to achieve as a football player going forward?
My goal is to get onto a NFL team and show if you play at a small school you can get into the NFL if you work harder than the man next to you, and have faith and believe in yourself anything is possible.
