Ten Impressive Small Schoolers in 2022 | Presented by the 2022 Hula Bowl
Everyone talks about the big FBS players, but there are some players at the lower level who are ballin out! We wanted to focus on ten players that may not be getting the love they deserve. I think it is always fun to showcase players in the FCS, D2, D3 and the NAIA. So let’s begin! Let’s check out this Hula Bowl Small School Spotlight!
Sean Engel, WR/TE, Augustana (SD) – Yep, their is a kid who is a hybrid WR/TE at Augustana and he is ballin right now. The 6’5, 210 pound pass catcher has 8 touchdowns this year and 512 yards receiving. He is having a great year, and I wanted to focus on him because he deserves the love!
L’liott Curry, WR, Henderson State – We have showcased this kid for years. I love him as a prospect, He is a game changer. This year Curry already has 734 yards receiving and 9 touchdowns. He is a playmaker with great hands. He has been doing this for years too, this kid can play.
Henry Litwin, WR, Slippery Rock – Yep, I am about to sound like a homer here, but he may have the best hands in the entire NFL draft. He may not be the fastest wide out, I cannot tell on film but he catches everything. Elite hands are rare. He has great concentration and will be in the NFL next year.
Ryan Greenhagen, LB, Fordham – He has 101 tackles in 5 games. I don’t even have to right anything else. Are you kidding me? He is averaging 20.2 tackles a game. That is freaking ridiculous and this is at the FCS level.
Andrew Kamienski, WR, North Central (IL) – There are several stud wide outs in D3 this year, but Kamienski is a great player. He runs great routes and has been playing at a high level for years. I would love to see this kid against better competition. he has 656 yards receiving this year and 5 touchdowns.
Eric Barriere, QB, Eastern Washington – You have to love EB! He is not the biggest kid or the fastest kid, but he has heart. He gets the job done. He can distribute the ball all around the field and is not shy about doing so. He has 21 passing touchdowns already this year. He is a gamer. I love this kid.
Quay Holmes, RB, ETSU – Quay is a big back that is flat out dominating his competition. He has 9 touchdowns this year and leads the FCS in rushing yards. I like his game. He runs up and down and is a big back. NFL teams are going to like his style.
Prince Emili, DL, Penn – The massive defensive lineman is a game changer for Penn. He is a hard moving object who has been playing well this year. He has 4 sacks at the defensive tackle position. He is a big boy and hard to move. I think he will get a shot at the next level. Smart and big, he has great skills.
Joshua Williams, CB, Fayetteville State – His stock is flying right now. He is a big kid with great ball skills. He stands at 6’3 and can flat out cover. He is going to have a legit shot to be starting at the next level. He is a gamer.
Drew Seers, LB, Lindenwood – The kid is always around the ball. NFL teams love the Lindenwood kids and he has some Connor Harris similarities. Seers is always around the ball and has been making plays for years. He has 68 tackles this year in just 6 games. He is a player to remember.
