Former Saints defensive end Parys Haralson dead at the age of 37
It is being reported that former San Francisco 49ers and New Orleans Saints defensive end Parys Haralson has died at 37 years old.
The San Jose Mercury News first reported the news late Monday. Details of Haralson’s death including the cause were not initially reported.
The 49ers confirmed his death via Twitter.
A nine-year NFL veteran, Haralson played in 118 games (88 starts) and registered 380 tackles, 28.0 sacks, five fumble recoveries, three forced fumbles and five passes defensed. He was originally drafted by the San Francisco 49ers in the fifth round (140th overall) of the 2006 NFL Draft, out of the University of Tennessee.
