Virginia Union football player Quandarius Wilburn collapsed and died during a preseason conditioning session

Quandarius Wilburn was just 19 years old, and had a promising opportunity at Virginia Union. The Wadley, Georgia native was a freshman at Virginia Union University hoping to make an immediate impact for his football team.
The young man was participating in a preseason conditioning session at the school on Sunday, when he collapsed.
The 6’2, 230 pound defensive end was rushed to VCU Medical Center where he was later pronounced dead.
According to the team President, the football team had breakfast together, attended church then ate lunch before the preseason conditioning workout on Sunday. He released this statement.
“The Virginia Union University family is heartbroken about the passing of a freshman student and football player on Sunday, August 8, 2021,” VUU’s statement read. “Our primary concern is the well-being of the family and fellow students impacted by this tragedy. Virginia Union stands ready to provide support in any way necessary and available as families and students work to process this devastating loss.”
Please keep the Wilburn family in your thoughts and prayers. May Quandarius Rest in Peace. As always we at NFL Draft Diamonds wanted to showcase Quandarius and how off his skills on the field.
