McNeese State took the field for fall camp preparing for the upcoming season

By: Justin Kelm
What a wonderful time it is in Lake Charles. Fall camp continued on Tuesday for the McNeese Cowboys as the squad practiced for two plus hours in the morning as an entire unit for the first time.
The team was picked to finish fourth this season in the Southland Conference. The Cowboys feel they will do better than that and look forward to proving critics wrong.
Quarterback Cody Orgeron appears in the best shape he’s been in and has been accurate with his passing. Tight End Jamal Pettigrew and I spoke during the media session before practice.
Pettigrew emphasized on how excited he was for the fall season. The Cowboys will continue in shells on Wednesday before putting on the full pads on Thursday.
