Saints speedy wide receiver Deonte Harris was arrested on DUI charges
Former small school standout Deonte Harris was arrested on DUI charges back on July 16th, according to police documents.
The 5’6 wide receiver/return man from Assumption College was busted on July 16th, 2021 at 1:27 am for driving under the influence of alcohol according to a report.
This is not great news for the Saints who have Michael Thomas banged up again. The team recently had Tommylee Lewis in for a workout and signed former Patriots wide receiver Chris Hogan.
Harris will likely be suspended for the first two games of the season, which would be a huge loss for the Saints and their musical chairs quarterback.
Since entering the NFL as an undrafted free agent, Harris has become one of the most explosive players in the NFL. He was an All-Pro selection his rookie year as a return man. He was starting to come on as a receiver last season. Regardless, this is going to hurt.
