This week a police officer named Marquis Moorer a 25 year old was shot and killed after being ambushed by a gunman in an apartment.
According to reports, the officer was returning home for lunch when Javonte Stubbs, 18 a football star ambushed the officer in his apartment. His significant other was also wounded in the shooting and remains in critical condition.
Stubbs is facing capital murder of a law enforcement officer, capital murder-shooting into an occupied dwelling and attempted murder.
Stubbs was a star football player at Selma High School. Stubbs was a star athlete at Selma High School and was The Selma Times-Journal offensive player of the year in 2020.
But we at NFL Draft Diamonds are not going to showcase anything about Javonte Stubbs. Instead, we would rather showcase a little about Marquis Moorer the officer killed.
We wanted to send our deepest condolences to a hero. We support police officers and we back our law enforcement staff around the country. Marquis, you will be missed, and we are praying for your significant other. God protect her.
