Breaking: Washington Football Team is cancelling rookie mini camp tryouts after a player tested positive for COVID

We are learning that the Washington Football Team has cancelled their rookie tryouts after a player tested positive for COVID-19.

We are still working on the details but several players will remain at their hotel for the next 48 hours and then return home.

We know the team did sign RB Jaret Patterson from the UB Bulls and the team was also expected to bring in several canadians for their mini camp. Most NFL teams were alloted five players to invite to their camp, so this is a bad start to the NFL’s mini camps. We will try to find out more information, but as of now we heard it is shut down.

This is for the tryout players only, from what we are learning. The Camp will continue but the tryout players will not end up getting a shot. Which is pretty messed up.

The Washington Football Team had one of their rookie tryout players test positive for COVID-19, source said. So they’ll move forward with rookie minicamp with only draft picks and players eligible to participate who were on the roster last year.

One of the five rookie tryout players for the Washington Football Team tested positive for covid, so the team has decided to hold rookie camp (Friday-Saturday) with just their 10 draft picks, 1 UDFA (Jaret Patterson) and 5 eligible players from last year, sources confirmed.
