Star high school football player Roddrick Cook shot and killed in Lousiana | All over a social media beef?
Roddrick Cook was a monster of a man. He had tons of potential. Unfortunately, his football career was cut short this week, when Cook was shot and killed. Cook was the starting defensive lineman for Istrouma High School in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
His head football coach Jeremy Gradney, at Istrouma High, said Roddrick was a seriously talented player. He was also an outstanding kid whose death marks a tremendous loss for the entire school community.
Gradney said he fully expected Roddrick to excel next season. The defensive lineman was already getting attention from some college scouts and was almost certainly headed for greatness — potentially even the NFL, according to The Advocate.
His mother believes her son was shot and killed over a beef that originated on social media. This is horrible, the 6’3, 250 pound defensive lineman had tons of potential.
We would like to honor Roddrick by posting his junior highlights. Please keep his Mother and siblings in your prayers.
