2022 NFL Draft Prospect: Jalen Tolbert, WR, University of South Alabama

Jalen Tolbert could have left after last season, but the 6’3 wide receiver decided to return to South Alabama. I think it was a great decision for the first-team All-Sun Belt Conference standout.
Tolbert hauled in 64 receptions for 1,085 yards and scored 8 times. He was just one of 11 players in the entire country to break the 1k mark in a shortened season.
Tolbert told reporters the reason he is returning is because he wanted to become a better leader on and off the field. You have to admire that from a young pass catcher. Wide receivers are given the diva name because of their position, but Tolbert is a worker.
I would be absolutely shocked if Tolbert is not invited to the Senior Bowl. He is just 21 years old and has been one of the best wide outs in the country year in and year out. Over the past two seasons, Tolbert has 14 touchdowns and over 1600 yards receiving. I think this year alone he will have 14 touchdowns and add 1600 more yards. I expect a huge breakout season for the South Alabama Jaguar!
NFL Draft Diamonds Scouting Report:
When you look at big and athletic wide receivers you cannot look past Tolbert. Tolbert is one of the top receivers in the 2022 NFL Draft and by him returning I think he will take his game to another level. South Alabama added a Utah grad transfer QB in Jake Bentley who will challenge Desmond Trotter, at QB, but whoever is slinging the rock, expect them to look for number 8! Tolbert is going to shine, and I am going to be sitting here waiting for the explosion! – Damond Talbot, NFL Draft Diamonds Owner
