Clyde Hall arrested for cocaine
Clyde Hall a former 12th round pick in the 1960 NFL Draft was arrested trying to sell 7 kilos of cocaine to the Feds.

You have to love this headline, Clyde Hall is not playing with y’all. The former New York Giants football player was busted recently with 7 kilos of cocaine. You would usually expect a young man pushing the kilos, but that is not the case here.

Clyde Hall is 82 years old. He was reportedly arranging a drug deal with a confidential informant. His charge is narcotics distribution. The Feds set up the deal and met him in front of his house to exchange the money for a huge greay bag. Then authorities swooped in like the Canton Bulldogs defense and arrested Hall.

Hall was a tight end that played just one season for the New York Giants and was drafted in the 12th round of the 1960 NFL Draft. He played in 12 games back in 1961 and hauled in 2 passes for 22 yards!

According to CBS Sports, this was not the first time Hall was in trouble. He was found guilty of investment fraud in 2010 after stealing more than $4 million from investors. That incident involved his wife, who was charged with one count of related bankruptcy fraud. One year prior, he pleaded guilty to wire fraud and other charges. Hall received a 20-year sentence for defrauding investors and would have still been behind bars were it not for the coronavirus pandemic, which resulted in the Bureau of Prisons releasing him into home confinement.
