North Texas commit Willie Simmons a standout linebacker shot and killed in Austin, Texas
Willie Simmons a hard hitting linebacker from Elgin, Texas was shot and killed on Sunday in Austin, Texas. Willie had recently committed to play college football at North Texas.
According to the Denton RC, Simmons along with three others were shot on Sunday morning. Police are searching for Stephen Broderick a 41 year old man in connection with the shooting.
Simmons committed to North Texas in April and was a first team All-District player as a junior. Simmons was so excited to land an FBS scholarship and quickly signed after North Texas offered him.
According to the report, two females were also shot.
