Former BYU football player Tui Crichton passed away from cardiac arrest at the age of 30
Former BYU and Weber State standout football player Tui Crichton has passed away. Crichton an offensive lineman reportedly passed away from cardiac arrest. He was just 30 years of age.
Crichton played high school football at Timpview and led them to an undefeated season and a win in the 2007 state football championship his junior season. Crichton sustained a shoulder injury and did not play as a senior. Still, he signed to play for BYU, turning down offers from several other schools and took a redshirt year in 2009 as he continued to rehabilitate his shoulder. He would eventually end up at Weber State to finish off his college career.
