Breaking: Bengals are expected to re-sign WR Mike Thomas
We are learning the former University of Southern Mississippi Golden Eagles wideout that was drafted by the Rams in the sixth round of the 2016 NFL Draft has agreed to terms with the Bengals on a one year deal.
Thomas had a solid year with the Bengals last year. Thomas made his presence felt often in the team’s first three games by reeling in eight receptions and a touchdown despite being low on the depth chart.
In the two games that Thomas went for over 30 receiving yards, Burrow went for over 315 passing yards, the only two times the rookie quarterback eclipsed the mark.
With Tyler Boyd and Tee Higgins locked up the Bengals wanted to make sure they were able to sign Thomas and a deal is done.
Thomas racked up 132 yards last season on 13 receptions and had one touchdown. Welcome Back to Cincy, Young Man!
