Former Ohio State football player Kharim Stephens was killed in a motorcycle accident
Kharim Stephens walked on to the Ohio State campus and wound up playing with the Buckeyes. The defensive tackle played on the 2012 Ohio State football team when Urban Meyer led the team to a perfect season and finished 12-0. Stephens never once suited up for the Buckeyes.
Kharim Stephens died on Saturday following a motorcycle accident outside of Columbus, according to a report from The Columbus Dispatch. He was only 30 years old.
Stephens was reportedly driving a 2017 Suzuki motorcycle and was struck by a 2005 Toyota Scion turning left in a convenient store. The crash occurred around 3:30 p.m. and Stephens was transported to a nearby hospital, where he would succumb to his injuries.
A native of Queens Village, N.Y., Stephens graduated from Ohio State in 2015 with his bachelor’s degree in public policy analysis and worked as a patient access coordinator at the university for the last three years.
