Alabama High School football player Lucas Higginbotham died in a single-vehicle crash

Lucas Higginbotham was a well-liked kid in Jasper, Alabama. Today his high school the Jasper Vikings announced that the wrestler and linebacker for the Vikings died in a single-vehicle crash.

Lucas Higginbotham, 18, was driving on Old Duncan Bridge Road near Arley, Ala. just after 2:15 a.m. when his car left the roadway in a curve and struck a tree, according to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

We are saddened by this horrible accident and wanted to send prayers to the Higginbotham family. Lucas was a very young kid with a competitive heart. We wanted to honor him by showing a big-time play he made against Mars Hill Bible High School from his Hudl account. We at NFL Draft Diamonds would like to send our prayers to the family and please ask that you pray for the family and friends of Lucas.
