Report: Carson Wentz prefers the Colts over the Bears

Carson Wentz
The Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Carson Wentz could be on the move, and it looks like he prefers the Colts over the Bears.

Chris Simms the son of former Giants great Phil Simms was speaking to Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk this morning, and according to Simms the Colts are the team Wentz would like to play for.

There have been rumblings that the Bears and Colts have shown interest in Carson Wentz and we are sure there are other teams that have called to inquire, but Sims told Florio he is being told Wentz prefers the Colts over the Bears.

“FLORIO: For Wentz especially, he shouldn’t want to go to Chicago because it’s kind of like Philly.

“SIMMS: Yeah.

“FLORIO: You’re stepping into the same problems, and there’s more pressure on you to perform right out of the gates. In Indianapolis, I think he would have more leeway, he would have more of a chance to develop.

“If I’m Wentz, I strongly prefer the Colts over the Chicago Bears.

“SIMMS: And I was told he does. I was told by some people I trust that he prefers the Colts’ situation, certainly.”

I mean you cannot blame Wentz at this point. The Colts have a nasty defense and better weapons. You also have to love the fact that their offensive line is amazing. The Colts have more weapons, and the best player on the Bears offense Allen Robinson is currently a free agent.

I mean this is not crazy talk, but the Colts seem like the team if they want him that could make Wentz happy. We shall see.
