Seahawks executive Scott Fitterer hired as Carolina Panthers GM
By: NFLHeads
The Panthers have finally replaced general manager Marty Hurney, Scott Fitterer has been signed on a five year plan to be the next GM for the Panthers.
Fitterer has been an NFL executive for quite a while now, Fitterer made his beginnings with the New York Giants in 1998 as an area scout, where he served for three seasons.
Fitterer was then hired by the Seahawks as an area scout in 2001, and has worked for the Seahawks from 2001-2020 as an area scout, director of college scouting, co-director of player personnel, and finally VP of football operations.
Given that the Seahawks have had an excellent front office that has seen success for years, it bodes well that the Panthers are making the move to sign him.
I like this move and expect it to work out well for the Panthers.
