Former Linebacker Jerod Mayo interviews for Eagles’ HC Vacancy

In one of the more surprising coaching interviews of 2021, the Eagles let in Patriots Linebackers coach Jerod Mayo for a head coaching interview.
Mayo has only been the Inside Linebackers coach in New England for two seasons. Mayo also has an extensive player history, he was drafted in the first round of 2008, with the tenth overall pick.
Mayo played on the Patriots from 2008-2015, only 8 seasons. Mayo was a two time pro bowler, and made one All-Pro team (First Team, 2010). While it seems unlikely that Mayo will end up landing the gig, who knows?
To be quite honest that would not make the top 100 of crazy things that have happened in the past two years.
