NFL Player Spotlight: Jacob Eason, QB, Indianapolis Colts

By: NFLHeads
With Philip Rivers’ future so uncertain, it is time for the Colts to start viewing their other options. While I believe there are plenty of other starters to be had around the league, it would not be a bad idea to take a look at the in house options. So let’s take a look at an in house option that is not getting enough pop. Meet Jacob Eason.
Jacob Eason hails from the University of Washington (and formerly Georgia). Eason did not have much playing experience in his first two years, but in his final year he really showed us something.
Eason’s last year saw 3,132 yards, with a 64.2 completion percentage, 23 touchdowns, 8 picks, and a rating of 149.3, which is good for college.
Eason is not the picture of mobility, but he has a hell of an arm, and I believe with that and some solid play, Eason has the potential to be something great.
Eason was drafted 122nd overall in the 2020 NFL Draft by the Indianapolis Colts, and has been collecting dust behind Philip Rivers and Jacoby Brissett.
