In a surprising move that was announced recently, Green Bay Packers star quarterback franchise quarterback Aaron Rodgers will be hosting the game show Jeopardy!

Rodgers was once a contestant on the classic game show in a celebrity edition of Jeopardy! in 2015. Since the show’s inception, it has been hosted by Alex Trebek who recently passed away, aged 80, from cancer.

Rodgers has deep respect for Trebek, and compared meeting him to the experience of meeting announcers Keith Jackson, Dan Fouts, Pat Summerall, and John Madden. The indications are that Rodgers will be hosting one episode, and the date is to be determined later.

Rodgers himself announced this development on the Pat McAfee Show. Other guest stars include Ken Jennings, Katie Couric, Bill Whitaker, and Mayim Bialik.
