Virginia High School standout RB Kawuan Ray passes at the age of 18
One of the most talented athletes in Virginia passed away at the age of 18. He began feeling chest pains and was rushed to the hospital where he succumbed to the incident.
Kawuan Ray was a three-sport star at Roanoake Catholic High School and during his first three years in high school, he earned VISAA Division III football player of the year honors as a sophomore in 2018 after helping his team win the state championship.
Ray would land a scholarship from UVA-Wise and several other schools were showing interest in him.
Ray missed his 2019 season after spending time in the hospital with health complications. Ray transferred to Patrick Henry High School.
Ray averaged 13.7 yards per carry for his career and finished his junior season with 1,034 yards and 18 touchdowns on 84 attempts. He was a special athlete.
Please pray for the Ray family during this tough time.
