Former Eastern Kentucky standout cornerback Jeremy Caldwell shot and killed in Kentucky

Jeremy Caldwell was one of the best playmakers in EKU history. The former Buck Buchanan Award Watch List candidate was shot and killed in Kentucky

Jeremy Caldwell was one of the first defensive backs I watched film on back in 2009 and 2010. The Buck Buchanan Award Watch List corner was a beast who was a first team All-OVC selection for Eastern Kentucky.

It is with heavy hearts that we have to report he was shot and killed in a business parking lot in London, Kentucky at 2 pm on Sunday, December 20th.

Caldwell was just 32 years old. A car that sped from the scene was caught on video surveillance. Police have arrested Robert Brandon Gray, 39, and Ashley Lewis, 30.

Caldwell was one of the top playmakers in the Ohio Valley Conference. Caldwell played in the CFL and the Arena Football League out of college. We at NFL Draft Diamonds are praying for the Caldwell family. Rest in Peace “Ta-Ta”.
