2021 NFL Draft Prospect: Jalen Mayfield, OT, University of Michigan

University of Michigan has some ballers who can potentially come out in the 2021 NFL Draft. Jalen Mayfield the massive offensive tackle is a player I feel has the best chance of hearing his name called early.
Mayfield stands at 6’5 and weighs 319 pounds. He is a big, athletic kid that can still get bigger and better. When he came to Michigan, he was smaller, he has really added some weight and become a top offensive lineman in the 2021 NFL Draft.
Mayfield is only a redshirt sophomore, but I would not be shocked if he did in fact leave early.
He played right tackle last year and did a great job especially against Alabama. Jalen has great footwork, but can struggle at times with speedy players off the edge.
I would not be shocked if he is drafted in the top 60 picks come April. He will impress NFL teams.
NFL Draft Diamonds Scouting Notes
This draft is pretty solid at the tackle position. You have about 7 solid prospects at the top of the draft and that is including Mayfield. I think Mayfield is in the middle of that pack. He is a big kid, that is pretty athletic. He was a four star prospect in high school and he comes from a family of athletes. His Dad Brian was a very good left tackle at Ferris State back in the early 90’s. Mayfield will hear his name called. – Damond Talbot, NFL Draft Diamonds Owner
