3 Weekly Sleepers

  1. Baker Mayfield/ QB/ Cleveland Browns: Since the Fantasy Football Playoffs began only 2 QBs have more points than Baker Mayfield. This week he gets the Jets. Don’t overthink it.
  2. David Montgomery/ RB/ Chicago Bears: I have a better chance of giving David Montgomery a breather/quick rest than Ryan Nall; even with Cordarrelle Patterson nursing a knee injury. Montgomery gets the Jaguars and should see an increase in his already workhorse volume due to the Patterson injury.
  3. Jalen Reagor/ WR/ Philadelphia Eagles: Christian Kirk got way behind the Cowboys defense for an 80 yard TD earlier this season and then Kirk added a second TD later in the game. Reagor has a minor ankle issue but he saw a season-high 8 targets last week and the speedy rookie gets, you guessed it, the leaky Cowboys defense. The Cowboys struggle against anyone that catches the ball from the WR spot.

3 Weekly Fades

  1. Cam Newton/ QB/ New England Patriots: Superman met his match and couldn’t figure out a remedy for the Kryptonite served to him all season long by opposing defenses. And it’s gotten even worse for Newton as he has failed to hit 13 fantasy points in 3 of his last 4 games. This week he gets the Buffalo Bills.
  2. Todd Gurley/ RB/ Atlanta Falcons: Man, it’s truly tough to see the decline of RBs. Gurley was that dude like 2 years ago and was sitting high and mighty as the best RB in fantasy football and now he finds himself on the Fades list for Championship Week. Gurley is averaging 19 snaps per game and under 7 touches per game over his last 3 games. Ito Smith was named the starting RB by Falcons Interim Coach Raheem Morris for Week 16.
  3. Wayne Gallman/ RB/ NY Giants: This was just such a Jets-like season for the Giants. QBs got hurt, franchise RB suffered a significant knee injury, coaches for in fights and then a coach was fired for getting into a fight with another coach. But I give Wayne Gallman credit. He played well and was fantasy gold for some managers but this week against Baltimore it’s a tough sell. His only chance at fantasy relevance will come from scoring a TD; which might be tough to come across.
