2021 NFL Draft Prospect: Tre’ McKitty, TE, University of Georgia

In the 2021 NFL Draft you have a ton of players who are pass catchers only, but when you find a player who is athletic enough to make a good catch and block you have something special. Tre’ McKitty the former grad transfer from Florida State is that prototype.
McKitty is a 6’5 pass catcher that weighs 241 pounds. He has made some pretty ridiculous receptions his senior year.
He reminds me a lot of Vernon Davis, a good pass catcher, but not where near as athletic. Vernon Davis was a different kind of special in his prime. Many view McKitty as a bigger wide receiver but I don’t.
McKitty to me is a tight end, and can play all over the field. My best player comparison is Mo-Alie Cox.
McKitty is from Wesley Chapel, Florida, and that is right down the road from me. I am a homer, but I feel he can be a stud at the next level. So far at Georgia he has started every game.
McKitty is not getting the ball as much as I would like at Georgia, but he has 4 receptions in 5 games for 62 yards. NFL scouts know him and the former IMG Academy standout will hear his name called in the draft.
NFL Draft Diamonds Scouting Notes
Tre’McKitty is a local kid that I fell in love with at Florida State. I feel the Seminoles used him better than he is being used right now at Georgia, but what do I know? He has forty career starts now from FSU and Georgia, he can block and is athletic. He hauled in 50 balls during his time at FSU and racked up 520 yards and a pair of touchdowns. If Georgia can get him the ball some more this year, he could see a boost in his stock. – Damond Talbot, NFL Draft Diamonds Owner
