Julius “Junior” Faulk Scouting Report | 2021 NFL Draft | Delta State DB

Junior Fault Delta State
Junior Faulk the cornerback from Delta State is a huge NFL Draft Sleeper, and Ryan Fernandes of NFL Draft Diamonds breaks down his game.
  • Name: Julius “Junior” Faulk
  • Position: Safety/Cornerback
  • School: Delta State
  • Height: 6’1
  • Weight: 200

2019 Statistics: 37 Total Tackles, 9 Interceptions, 13 Pass Breakups and 1 Force Fumble

Junior Faulk has impressive size at the defensive back position and with the size at the line of scrimmage he is fond of getting hands on the receivers and tries to reroute them at the point of attack.

Faulk is versatile enough where in college he has played safety and cornerback leading to believe his football IQ is exceedingly high and can make the transition smoothly if needed at the next level.

He has a knack at fighting for the ball and hands catching it just like a receiver would and giving himself a greater chance at winning those jump/go ball battles. Along with his ball skills he can come down for run support and make a difference in the run game.

His speed and size can benefit him going up against backs and tight-ends. One thing of concern is at the snap of the ball he stands flat footed making it easier to get around him. His patience is a virtue that would help him with receivers who try to get him at the line knowing he can be flat footed at times.

Junior Faulk would make a good fit with the Cleveland Browns adding depth and filling holes in the defense who have dealt with injuries and not living up to expectations.

Another team that should set their eyes on him is the Atlanta Falcons who’s secondary hasn’t been the best by any means and he could help play a role in fixing that as they are one of the highest teams with missed tackles.
