2021 NFL Draft Prospect: Christian Darrisaw, OT, Virginia Tech

Virginia Tech offensive lineman Christian Darrisaw is a kid that is flying up draft boards. Could he be the 2nd O-Lineman drafted?

NFL scouts love Christian Darrisaw. How much do they love him? They told me he is the second best offensive lineman in this entire draft. That is pretty solid, when you look at their number 1 and it is Oregon’s Penei Sewell who is projected a top five pick.

Why do they love Darrisaw so much? It is his athletic ability and his length. The 6’5 offensive lineman moves laterally so well. He can kick out blocks with no problem and has earned starts since his Freshman season.

Darrisaw started every game last year for the Hokies at left tackle. The Maryland native was pretty darn impressive. Out of high school he would end up playing at Fort Union Military Academy in Virginia. That is how the Upper Marlboro native would eventually land at V-Tech.

As a freshman, Christian started his first career game against Florida State. He is one of only 9 freshman that started week 1 in the FBS. That is tough too!

Darrisaw has a great personality and he is a leader on and off the field. His stock has a HUGE YELLOW ARROW NEXT TO IT POINTING UP. Remember you read it here first.

NFL Draft Diamonds Scouting Notes

Christian Darrisaw has started all six games this year at left tackle for the Hokies and he is impressing NFL scouts more and more week in and week out. He earned ACC OL of the Week after the Hokies dominated Duke and rushed for 324 yards. He has the size and the ability to be taken high in the NFL Draft. He can still improve in pass blocking but it is hard to find athletic lineman who can move well. – Damond Talbot, NFL Draft Diamonds Owner
