2021 NFL Draft Prospect: Tim Jones, WR, Southern Mississippi

This year Tim Jones has been a man among boys on the football field. The Biloxi, Mississippi native has been a bright spot for the Golden Eagles.
In two games Jones cannot be guarded. He has 14 receptions for 299 yards and has scored twice. He has speed, great hands and is elusive. Overall, Jones has been super impressive.
Last season, Jones had a team-high 73 catches for 902 yards and finished on the Biletnikoff Award Watch List.
Jones has 120 receptions for 1,531 yards in his career, putting him within 18 and 452 of the top-five in school history, respectively. Catch No. 100 was a career-long, 68-yard score against WKU. He was also second on the team in catches (42) and yards (508) as a sophomore in 2018 behind current Philadelphia Eagles receiver Quez Watkins.
Jones has been ballin since high school. He was a second team 6A All-State selection and finished his high school career with 209 receptions for 3,524 yards and 29 touchdowns. He was only a 3 star recruit, which is a shame.
NFL Draft Diamonds Scouting Notes
I am a huge fan of Tim Jones. The 6010 wide receiver weighs 202 pounds and is one of the top receivers in the FBS right now. With coronavirus knocking out many major D1 schools, Jones is taking advantage of his exposure. He looks like a star in the making, and I think he will shine at the next level. Teams love players that can get open, and Jones does a great job at creating separation. – Damond Talbot, NFL Draft Diamonds Owner
