2021 NFL Draft Prospect: Thomas Hennigan, WR, Appalachian State
Thomas Hennigan has a bright future ahead of him. The Appalachian State wide out is a playmaker and is constantly making plays for the Mountaineers.
Heading into his senior season, Hennigan was tied for seventh place in App State history with 14 career touchdowns, and was ninth in receptions with 135.
In three seasons, Thomas Hennigan has 1,685 yards receiving, and this year he is having a hell of a year.
In Hennigan’s first game of the year against Charlotte he hauled in 5 receptions for 120 yards and scored a touchdown. On the year already, the Greensboro, North Carolina native has 13 receptions for 275 and a touchdown.
Another crucial part of Hennigan’s game is the return game. Hennigan has experience as the Mountaineers punt returner as well. You have to remember App State is a power running team, but when given an option to make a play, Hennigan has been the go-to guy.
NFL Draft Diamonds Scouting Notes
Thomas Hennigan is one of the best wide outs in App State history. He has been a huge part of their offense since his freshman year where he started all 13 games as a true freshman. Hennigan was a legend in North Carolina high school ball, but was only a 3 star recruit. The Mountaineers struck gold with him, and right now he is one of the leaders in the NCAA for receiving yards. Hennigan to the Patriots sounds so real. Thomas is a player that fits the Bill Belichick mold, he is a hard worker with tons of experience. He produces and teams will love that. – Damond Talbot, Owner, NFL Draft Diamonds
