North American University Scrimmage after their game was postponed due to Hurricane Delta

North American University Scrimmage On Saturday, October 10 the North American University Stallions were set to battle the Atlanta Warriors in Stafford, Texas.
The Warriors could not make the trip due to Hurricane Delta that pummeled the South. In response, the Stallions took the time to get better by scrimmaging each other. During the week, the coaches held a draft and made two teams, a blue team and then a white team. Both teams were composed of starters, backups, and scout team members.
The Stallions used this time to prepare for the remainder of their season. Players who don’t usually get much playing time were trying to prove to the coaching that they belonged. Intense hits were heard throughout the stadium. The blue team got on the board first with a passing touchdown. Wide Receivers Jailin Singleton and Deroddrick Hadnot had receiving touchdowns for the blue team.
The blue team dominated all evening. Going into half time, the score was 12 to 0. The coaches took out their starters and allowed the backups time to play. The white team led by Quarterback Donovan Newman III, a transfer from East Texas Baptist University round the end zone late into the third quarter.
Newman III stepped up and made the pass while getting hit in the process. His receiver did the rest and found the end zone. The score was 12 to 6 now and the momentum changed as the white team came alive. Both teams were talking to each other.
The momentum was short-lived as the blue team found the end zone twice going up 24 to 6. The blue team attempted the two-point conversion but the white team had different plans. While trying to cross the goal line, the blue team fumbled the ball and #28 scooped it up and returned it back for two points.
As the clock struck zero, the blue team defeated the white team 24 to 8. After, Stallions Head Coach Apande discussed with his team about the positives he saw in the scrimmage. The Stallions will return to action on Saturday, October 24 as they host the Community Christian College Saints of Georgia at 7 pm in Stafford, Texas.
