2021 NFL Draft Prospect: Jarrin Pierce, WR, Middle Tennessee State University

We do not talk about Middle Tennessee State enough when it comes to football. If you look around the NFL though there are several big time players from the University. There is always players at MTSU who have tons of potential and this year they have a wide receiver named Jarrin Pierce who is tearing up college football right now.
Jarrin Pierce is a Los Angeles, California native that has grown on me. This year he has been playing lights out for the Blue Raiders. Pierce played high school football at Bishop Alemany High School where he was named MVP of the team. He would end up having to go the JUCO route.
JUCO is not for everyone but Pierce made the best of his experience. He would leave the College of Canyons as a three star recruit. He lead the team in 2018 with 52 receptions for 770 yards and five touchdowns. He finished his first two years with 101 receptions for 1,534 yards and 10 touchdowns.
Middle Tennessee came calling and the rest is history. His production has continued at Middle Tennessee State.
Last year Pierce hauled in 42 receptions for 562 yards and scored four times. He looked great last year.
This year, he already has 31 receptions for 286 yards in just four games. He has not found paydirt yet, but I would expect that to happen soon. He is a little guy, but he can be a great slot wide receiver at the next level.
NFL Draft Diamonds Scouting Notes:
I have to give MTSU a lot of love. They have been an underdog in college football for years. They always do a good job at competing and finding talent. This year Jarrin Pierce is a player I could see getting a shot at the next level. He is fun to watch. The game he really jumped off the film to me was the UTSA game. He showed talent and the ability to get open. He also went over 100 that game. Remember his name, he is a sleeper in the 2021 NFL Draft. – Damond Talbot, NFL Draft Diamonds, Owner
