2021 NFL Draft Prospect: J.D. King, RB, Georgia Southern

J.D. King ran for a career-high 196 yards and a score in a 35-30 win over Louisiana-Monroe. King looked terrific this past week and deserved to be mentioned on NFL Draft Diamonds.
King is a former Oklahoma State transfer and boy has he been a huge fresh breath of air for the Eagles. Back in 2017, King was OSU’s second leading rusher with 469 yards on the ground and he carried the rock 99 times. he was one of the best freshman running backs in the Big 12. He scored five touchdowns as well.
He would play the 2018 season with the Cowboys as well. The Cowboys limited him a bit more. He only touched the ball 43 times for 153 yards. He did score a couple times though through the air.
Last year, King transferred to Georgia Southern and man he was a great addition. King finished starting in just 6 games and played on 518 plays. he carried the ball 185 times for 804 yards and scored 8 touchdowns.
Just how good has King been in 2020? He has 63 rushing attempts this year for 370 yards and 3 touchdowns in just three games.
NFL Draft Diamonds Scouting Notes:
King is a compact back standing at 5110 and weighing 220 pounds. The Georgia native has been pretty damn impressive. I am a fan of King, and the Eagles at this point. King has been a dog this year, and I would not be surprised if he has roughly 8 more games. I would not be shocked if he goes for 1200 plus yards.
