Former Southwest Baptist University standout Derwyn Lauderdale shot and killed in Texas

A Travis High School coach was shot and killed Saturday afternoon during a family dispute at a sports complex in Rosenberg.
Police showed up at the parking lot of the Seabourne Creek Sports Complex, to find Lauderdale shot. Police arrested 28-year-old James Hamilton who witnesses said shot and killed 29-year-old Derwyn Lauderdale over a family dispute.
The sad thing is witnesses said Lauderdale got out of the vehicle with a child and was walking towards another car when he was shot in his stomach.
Lauderdale was transported to an area hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Derwyn Lauderdale was a good friend of NFL Draft Diamonds. After an amazing football career at Southwest Baptist University, Lauderdale began coaching at Travis High School.
I am asking for all of our followers to please pray for the Lauderdale family.
Another small school gone too soon.
Here is an interview with Derwyn we completed his rookie year.
