Bengals are Shopping Who? Carlos Dunlap traded to the Seahawks

By: NFLHeads2020
Recent reports have come out that pass rusher Carlos Dunlap is being shopped by the Cincinnati Bengals, and the reason why is beyond me. Dunlap is a stud pass rusher that has played beside Geno Atkins since 2010, let’s outline his career.
Dunlap has had a downer season this year with 18 tackles, and only one sack, but he has been rock solid every year before that. In the 14 games that Dunlap played in 2019, he had 9 sacks, 21 QB hits, and 63 tackles. So Dunlap isn’t an insane talent, but he is a very solid player. Dunlap’s best season was in 2015 when he had 13.5 sacks and 34 QB hits. So only a 4.5 sack difference from what was the best season Dunlap ever had, pretty impressive that he has been so consistent.
Dunlap has lasted his whole career with the Bengals, being drafted 54th overall in the 2010 NFL Draft, and has signed two contract extensions. The most recent extension was in 2018, 3 years and 45 million dollars.
Dunlap’s worth would probably be a mid to late round pick, but probably lower because it seems like the Bengals would like to get rid of him. This will be a great loss for the Bengals, it will be a great gain for another team.
BREAKING: SEAHAWKS trade for Bengals DE Carlos Dunlap
According to sources, Dunlap was traded for a late round pick and OC B.J. Finney. Finney signed a two year deal worth 8 million dollars in Seattle earlier this year. This is a huge need for the Bengals.
