ESPN reporter Mark Jones says he does not want a police escort because he does not want to get shot in his back

This week the Army will take on number 16 Cincinnati and ESPN’s college football play-by-play announcer Mark Jones was very clear in a tweet that he does not want an officer assigned to escort him.
His response was pretty wild because he said he does not want to get shot in the back.
Jones, who has worked at ESPN since 1990, had also condemned the police Wednesday in another tweet, writing:
I mean I guess everyone is entitled to their own opinions. I mean if he feels safer that is good. What do you think?
