Fantasy Football Busts: Five players you may want to avoid in Week 1

We had our first taste of football last night when the Kansas City Chiefs took on the Houston Texans and won big. We listed Clyde Edwards-Helaire as a must start rookie earlier in the week, and since we are on a role we are going to list the top five players we would avoid in week 1 for Fantasy Football. Check out That Sports Guy’s Fantasy Football Rankings for Week 1 as well! We are going to pick a QB, RB, WR, TE, DEF each week. So let’s have some fun and pick our five must avoid players and defense expected to choke for week 1!
Quarterback
Joe Burrow – The game is way faster than normal. He has not played one snap at NFL speed yet. That adjustment will take getting used to. I think he will struggle big time against the Chargers defense. I still think he will put up numbers but he will likely have several turnovers. That will crush him.
Running Back
Rams Running Backs – I am not sure who will start, maybe Malcolm Brown, Maybe Cam Akers, Maybe Darrell Henderson, I just think this is a bad week for the Rams running backs. They play the Cowboys who are stout up front and I think the Rams backs will not be able to get it going. Stay away from them all.
Wide Receiver
Odell Beckham Jr. – After the reports came out this week that Odell reportedly liked to be pooped on, I think the defenders will get inside his head. He is going to be picked on the entire game and I think he will end up doing something stupid to get kicked out the game. He is my bust player to stay away from this week.
Tight End
Hayden Hurst – The Falcons recently signed Hayden Hurst hoping he could be the Austin Hooper of the future, but I think he will struggle the first week. He will turn it on later on in the season, but in his first game I see a fumble and several drops on his radar.
Defense
Los Angeles Rams – I think they are going to struggle bad with the Dallas Cowboys and Dak Prescott. Dak Prescott came out to confront attacks by Skip Bayless and others who said he is not taking football serious. I have a feeling he will take it really serious this week to prove a point. Expect him to go bananas.
