NDSU QB Trey Lance will play in just one game this year and he will face the best FCS cornerback

Yesterday, North Dakota State University announced they will play just one FCS game, and only one. They want to give their quarterback a chance to get some film from this year, and they did not pick a slouch of an opponent.
A matter of fact they picked Central Arkansas who in my opinion have the best FCS cornerback on the defensive side of the ball in the league.
Robert Rochell will get a chance to be the first player to pick off a pass from Trey Lance. Lance has not thrown an interception in his career. He has also never lost.
The school released this statement:
“Due to the challenge completing a full non-conference schedule, we took a pause to consider all our options for this fall, knowing full well it could mean not having the opportunity to play,” North Dakota State athletic director Matt Larsen said in a prepared statement. “Upon further consideration, coupled with recent information provided by the NCAA, we felt it was in the best interest of our football program to practice and play one game this fall.”
North Dakota State, led by star quarterback Trey Lance, has won 37 consecutive games and eight of the past nine FCS national titles. This will be a fun one, make sure you mark October 3rd on your calendars. I know one player who has a huge circle through it….. Robert Rochell.
