Draft Diamonds Free Agent Interview: J.J. Dallas, Defensive Back
Hello, I am @jrberendzen on Twitter and this is one of my free agent interviews where I ask very deserving free agents questions about the players themselves and about what a team would get in these players. All of these players should get picked up by NFL, CFL, and XFL teams and get a shot at being a career football player. So I hope you all read J.J.’s interview and follow his journey on Twitter @JJDallasOFCL.
1.What is your favorite workout?
I wouldn’t say I have a favorite workout. I love the process of getting better every day.
2.If you could hang out with any football player past or present for a day who and why?
Deion Sanders, he’s the best to ever do it at the cornerback position and any knowledge of the game from him would be a blessing.
3.What is your mindset when you are on the football field?
My mindset is win. Win my one on ones, win the game, just win at everything I do.
4.What are your favorite moments from your football life?
One of my favorite football moments was making it from JuCo to D1.
5.What is your favorite stadium that you have played in?
I haven’t played in my favorite stadium yet. If I had to choose then Memphis had a cool stadium out of the ones I played in.
6.If your life was a tv show what would you call it and why?
My TV show would be called “Greatest Self” because that’s what I strive to be each day, becoming the greatest version of myself through the journey.
7.What type of energy do you bring onto the football field?
I bring big play energy to the football field.
8.What made you decide you wanted to be a football player?
Football has always ran through my family. I knew at a very young age I would be a football player.
9.What has been your biggest challenge in life?
Life is full of challenges, but it’s about how you respond.
10.What would a team get in a player like you?
A team would get a hard worker always looking to get better and learn. A versatile player that is coachable and a pro on and off the field that a team can trust.
11.What do you hope to achieve as a football player going forward?
What I want to achieve moving forward is signing an NFL contract and making a name for myself in the league.
12.Rank focus, footwork and skill based on what is most important to you as a football player and explain why?
Focus, skill, footwork in that order. The most important one to me is focus, what you focus on is what you become.
