As the Beginning of the NFL season draws ever closer, we are slowly beginning to see some of the 2020 draft predictions come into fruition. One of which of course is the Andrew Thomas, who was set to be one of the biggest prospects from last season. But with the recent signing of a four-year deal with the Giants, one question remains. How much will he truly be able to offer to the team?

With several amazing games played throughout both high school and college football, he has had a huge amount of success to become the number 4 pick for the NFL draft for the New York Giants. Since being picked as a number 4 pick for the team, Andrew Thomas has come along way. At 6ft 5 with a fast pace, the up and coming superstar is set to have another successful season with the New York Giants. With a reputation as one of the best pro-ready offence tackles in the league at this time he is set to be one of the top favourites for those looking to place a bet on the NFL this season. With bets currently sitting at 11/4 for them making the playoffs next season, a signing such as this could see those odds improve. With a huge number of changes to the team set to be made in the near future, this could be the season that we see the New York Giants be one of the most successful in the league since finishing third in the NFC East NFL standings.

With the signing of this four-year deal comes an element of security for the team that has had an uphill struggle in the 2019 season. With the sheer speed and precision of his tackles, Thomas could prove to be a valuable asset for the team and may even be enough to see them finishing higher up the table in 2020. With a preseason 40-yard dash of 5.22 seconds, this is a pace that could prove valuable. In addition to this, Thomas has had dealt with the pressure of playing in the big leagues before now as he was invited to join the NCAA Elite Football Symposium in the winter following his sophomore season. This is a process that some of the greatest in the NFL have all worked through and is specially designed to aid those transitioning from College football into the NFL to do so as seamlessly as possible. This, of course, will prove valuable when he heads out onto the field when the season begins on September 11th of this year.
Passing The Medical
With the signing of this, however, comes the problem of passing the medical. Though several up and coming, current and former NFL stars are all seen to be training on their social media this begs the question of whether or not Thomas will be able to pass his medical. In addition to this, the ongoing pandemic has also caused issues when it comes to medical examinations as lockdown measures and social distancing make it difficult to conduct medicals for the league. However, with the right precautions in place, we may will see him passing his medical and being signed in the not too distant future.
With this deal looking highly profitable for the giants in terms of the potential for long term success, could we see them being strong contenders in the NFL in the 2020 season, however, the jury is still out on this at this early stage?
