Calgary DB Deane Leonard transfers to Ole Miss for his final season

Deane Leonard
Calgary defensive back Deane Leonard is transferring to Ole Miss after an amazing junior season. He was on our 2021 Small School Rankings.

We love scouting Canada, and there is a cornerback from the University of Calgary who is a beast. His name is Deane Leonard, and yesterday the Dinos corner announced he is leaving Calgary.

“First off I’d like to thank my friends, family, and coaches that have supported me through this process,” Leonard wrote. “I can’t thank each and every one of you enough for all that you’ve done for me over the years. Love you guys!

“With the cancellation of the USports season I’ve decided it’s in my best interest to look at my options down south.

“With that being said, I’ll be transferring to Ole Miss to complete my collegiate career.”

Last season Leonard had four interceptions and is the second player from Canada to transfer to Ole Miss this year. The first player was University of Guelph’s Tavius Robinson who transferred in June.
