Centennial Conference in Division 3 has suspended fall sports including football

Centennial Conference

Division III’s Centennial Conference announced Tuesday afternoon that fall sports would be suspended due to COVID-19. This is a huge blow to the football players at these schools.

“Given health and other related concerns, the Centennial Conference Presidents Council has decided to suspend any inter-collegiate competition for sports scheduled for the fall semester,” a statement from the conference said. “The presidents will reevaluate this decision by the end of September, based on work to be done by the Conference to assess sports-specific activities and the experiences on the schools’ campuses. The presidents have determined football will not be played in the fall.”

The Centennial Conference consists of 10 colleges to include: Dickinson College, Franklin & Marshall College, Gettysburg College, Johns Hopkins University, McDaniel College, Muhlenberg College, Ursinus College, Juniata College, Moravian College, and Susquehanna University.

Today we interviewed a prospect from Johns Hopkins University. It is sad, but hopefully, they can postpone the season and come back later. I am sure we are going to be seeing quite a bit of these announcement in the next few days.
