2021 NFL Draft Prospect: Branden Mack, WR, Temple University

Branden Mack is a big target for Temple University! The 6050, 220 pound Pennsylvania native has become one of the best wide receivers in the AAC.
Mack was quite the athlete in high school. He was a quarterback, running back, kicker/punter and a defensive back for Cheltenham High. As a senior, he threw for 1,500 yards and ran for 1,050 yards. That is not the only impressive thing. He recorded 12 career interceptions and averaged 12 tackles a game back in the day. He was track star and B-Ball star too. I mean he should be a great B-Ball player at 6’5!
As a freshman, Mack would redshirt. In 2017 as a redshirt freshman he had limited action at wide receiver but played on special teams as well.
In 2018, Mack made his first career start against Villanova and had a great game. He led the team that game hauling in 7 receptions for 78 yards. He had himself a game against my Buffalo Bulls and that is why I remember him so well. He ate against the Bulls scoring twice and he blocked a punt where his teammate scored. He had a great season finishing with 44 receptions and 601 yards receiving. He also brought in 5 touchdowns for the Owls.
Last year, Mack turned up the heat. The big wide-out finished with 59 receptions and scored 7 touchdowns averaging 15.3 yards per reception. He would end up with 904 yards receiving and averaging 69.5 yards per game receiving.
I expect Mack to have a huge season in 2020. The college graduate will be fun to watch.
NFL Draft Diamonds Scouting Notes:
Branden Mack will be the next Temple WR to make it to the NFL and succeed. Robby Anderson and Mack have similar body types and both shined for the Owls. Anderson could be a future Carolina Panther with Matt Rhule there, but he is a playmaker. He has 1,528 yards receiving in his career and 12 career touchdowns on just 105 career receptions. I would not be shocked if Mack goes over 1k this year and scores 10 plus TD’s. – Damond Talbot, NFL Draft Diamonds Owner
