2021 NFL Draft Prospect: Ty Whitworth, OL, Weber State

Offensive Lineman do not get enough love from the media. I had to take a second and give this big guy a nice little article because he is a mean son of a gun. Ty Whitworth the 6040, 300 pound offensive lineman from Weber State is a two time all first team offensive lineman for a reason. He has started in all 42 games in his career and has helped his Wildcats win three straight Big Sky Titles.
Not only is he a beast on the field, Whitworth has earned three All-Academic Big Sky honors as well in consecutive seasons.
Ty was the Offensive Lineman of the Year in highschool for Linfield Christian before agreeing to come to Weber State.
As a red-shirt freshman, Whitworth would sit out the year to get accustomed to the University, but it was not long before he was the anchor of his offensive line.

As a red-shirt freshman, Ty started every single game and was a part of a historic Weber State team.
He continued in 2018 winning First Team All-Big-Sky honors and was a big reason freshman running back Josh Davis won Freshman of the Year honors.
Last season, Whitworth continued starting every game and helped both Clay Moss and Josh Davis win first team honors. Whitworth once again was a first team All-Conference player.
NFL Draft Diamonds Scouting Notes:
When you are looking for an offensive lineman, you want a tough, tenacious player with starting experience and with smarts. Ty Whitworth fits that mold. He is a mauling offensive lineman with a mean streak. He can bend well and has a vicious punch. I expect another conference title from Weber State and I would also expect a ton of scouts to come through Weber State in 2020. – Damond Talbot, NFL Draft Diamonds Owner.
