Cardinals WR Jermiah Braswell charged with DUI after driving his Camaro into Lake Erie


Jermiah Braswell, the former Youngstown State standout wide receiver who recently signed with the Arizona Cardinals, drove an Orange Camaro into Lake Erie while under the influence yesterday around 6:30 pm, according to Police reports obtained. The official charge is OVI which is Operating a Vehicle Under the Influence, in most states it is referred to as a DUI.


He submitted to a field sobriety test, after which he was arrested for driving under the influence. Braswell agreed to a breath test, which showed his BAC exceeded Ohio’s legal limit, per WTOL.
Braswell is a 6000, 215-pound wide receiver who played in 40 games and started 15 games for the Penguins. He caught 51 passes for 986 yards and had 11 touchdowns over his career at Youngstown State. He is a rookie with the Arizona Cardinals after being signed after the NFL Draft.
