2021 NFL Draft Prospect: Harry Ballard III, WR, University of Arkansas at Pine-Bluff

Harry Ballard III is one of the best wide receivers in the SWAC. When you watch the film on Ballard he jumps off the film. Last year he led UAPB in all three categories as he ranked fourth in the conference in both receptions and receiving yards and was fifth in touchdown receptions. He also eclipsed 100 yards 5 times last season scoring multiple touchdowns in three different games last year.
Harry Ballard was a 2nd Team All-SWAC player last year, and was named the SWAC Newcomer of the Week twice. Ballard could have had this type of success since leaving high school if he would have been given the opportunity.
Out of high school Ballard III was a three star recruit. He was a start at McCluer North catching 32 receptions for 606 yards and hauling in 15 touchdowns as a senior. He would eventually go to JuCo at Jones County and have a pretty solid outing. He caught 14 passes for 377 yards and scored three touchdowns. His performance in JuCo would eventually land him an opportunity at Missouri.
Mizzou came knocking after Ballard III had a pretty impressive JuCo season. He would transfer to Missouri in 2018, but never see the field. The Saint Louis, Missouri native will enter his senior season looking to explode again for the Golden Lions.
NFL Draft Diamonds Scouting Notes:
Harry Ballard III is one of the best wide receivers in the SWAC and is probably a top 3 wide receiver from all HBCU schools. I love his size 6’3 and 205 pound frame. He utilizes his body to get the ball, and has great hands. He is a playmaker and when the UAPB offense needs a play they can count on #1. There are some studs on the Golden Lions in 2020, and I would not be surprised if they shocked some people this year in the SWAC. – Damond Talbot, Owner, Damond Talbot
